Summary
Francis was the eleventh child of Samuel and Kate Stretton and one of the five sons who emigrated to make their lives in New Zealand. He originally emigrated in 1887 but returned briefly in 1892 to accompany his younger brother, Philip Braddyll, back to New Zealand. Their farewell event is reported in the Kidderminster Shuttle’s 30 July 1892 edition here.
