Summary:
Born on the 10th December 1867, Mary was the second daughter of Dr John and Sarah Sloane, née Stretton. She trained as an artist and became most distinguished for her etching, watercolour and oil paintings. At the turn of the century she exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of Painters, Etchers and Engravers and at the Paris Salon of Fine Arts and was a friend of May Morris, William Morris' daughter.
